Hey guys...I just came back from vacation and in the airport,(as I almost missed my flight back to NY) as I was running up the escalator, my big toenail like split......OW. I have issues with my toes and I have to see if I running will hurt...for my toe...so yeah. But I'll definitely make it to the practice on Monday -Natalia

Summer Running

Hi Everyone! It's great to see everyone at the team runs! For training, I've been running 6 days a week and doing interval training once a week for 20-30 minutes on a treadmill. I've also done some hill work and my long runs are usually 7-8 miles. I've been strength training and stretching at the gym to keep myself strong on off days and less prone to injury. Can't wait for this season to start! -Emily Mancini

More Training

Hi Team! Now I'm running more of 3 days on, 1 day off, although it tends to vary a little bit. Now I'm doing runs as long as 45 minutes, but continue to do some shorter runs at 30-35 minutes. Also, I've started doing some "pick up" runs once or twice a week.

Also, apparently medical update forms are due tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone knew the office hours for the health office or ny ave, considering both my parents work, and therefore we need to be able to drop it off before or after they are working??

Summer Training Continued...

Hey team! For my summer running, I am now up to 40 minute runs 3 days on, one off. I've been getting a fast run in on Monday night 5Ks (which end this week), and I will soon be doing some pickups within my runs. The team runs have been going great, I'm so glad we've been able to get together and meet some of the new girls! Hope to see all of you soon!

Summer Training

Hey everyone! The team runs have been going very well and I'm happy to say a good number of people have been showing up. Keep on coming! My training hasn't changed much since the last time I posted. I did a bit of a longer run on this past Sunday, than my usual 11, I ended up doing 15 down by long and short beach. Also I'll probably do 60 miles this week instead of 50 so I'll move it up a bit. It probably won't change much from that between now and September. So that's pretty much it, hope to see everyone at the next team run next Tuesday.

summer running

I've increased my runs to 30-35 minutes, and I'm going to stay there for a while..... started running around my community because I don't care how my neighbors stare at me....The team run this Tuesday was fun! I got to run Cardiac Hill for the first time!XD. I will try my best to make it to every team run so I can meet more of the team.

Ran at the track for 50 minutes, which was a lot more then I expected to run on my first day of training. Trying to work on increasing my endurance. I worked on my sprints by running up and down on the hills. It was a lot harder then I expected it to be, so I am going to have to work a lot harder. Tomorrow I am taking a break from the track, and just run around the neighborhood.
